The Systems Consultant- Production Printing Systems (PPS) is responsible for providing technical advice, counsel and expertise in direct support of securing sales for the production printing division’s robust suite of hardware, software and workflow tools for the digital printing industry. The Systems Consultant creates and maintains a technical account management relationship with prospective and present Océ customers in a broad range of activities including sales calls, technical presentations, workflow analysis, defining specifications, designing/documenting solutions and delivering implementation, integration and revenue producing consulting services.

Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for the following:

  • Assist sales employees with the evaluation of prospective customers, account strategy, and possible enterprise printing applications solutions. Participate in sales calls
  • Provide on-going project management support on large, complex, diverse and challenging solution architecting and implementation
  • Assist in the installation and integration of products and product applications
  • Generate professional services revenue stream independent of equipment and software sales
  • Conduct customer training classes
  • Follow-up with customers and internal resources to ensure 100% customer satisfaction
  • Maintain knowledge of industry and competitive developments as applicable to local markets and position responsibilities
  • Manage expenses, support escalations and report on weekly activities
  • Color knowledge required


Qualifications:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in computer science / information technology or minimum of 6 years experience in printing pre-sales / post-sales support in Digital printing sales
  • Proven ability to meet consulting services revenue targets
  • Proven problem analysis and resolution skills
  • Networking experience that includes WAN/LAN, TCPIP and network administration
  • A+, MCP (Microsoft Certified Professional) MCSE, (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) certifications are a plus
  • Knowledge of Windows operating systems
  • Knowledge of Windows server environments
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
  • Knowledge of a Linux operating systems
  • Knowledge of Postscript, PDF, AFP, LCDS, PCL a plus
  • Color knowledge and experience a must
  • Ink Jet experience a plus
  • Prepress Application knowledge a plus
  • Fiery and Creo Controller experience a plus
  • Workflow analysis, assessment and SOW document creation experience
  • Hardware knowledge of Océ Production Printers a plus
  • Must be able to work independently and be an intuitive and creative thinker
  • Ability to manage own schedule and to properly prioritize daily / weekly activities
  • Capable of operating in a team/project environment
  • Excellent verbal, written, and problem-solving skills
  • Willing to travel at least 50%
