We currently have an excellent growth opportunity for a senior analyst in our SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting group who will be responsible for a wide variety of external reporting responsibilities, technical accounting issues, and special projects. The position reports into the Senior Manager - SEC Reporting, Technical Accounting & SOX Compliance.
Responsibilities include:
External Reporting
- Support the accurate, timely and complete submission of all SEC filings including those on Form 10-Q, 10-K, Proxy, 8-K, and various '33 Act filings
Technical Accounting
- Perform accounting research of technical accounting issues based on the needs of the global finance organization. Issues include financial instruments, embedded derivatives, equity investments, compensation, leases, etc.
- Participate in special projects by providing project management support and technical accounting research. Transactions may include restructuring, impairment review, business combinations, and divestitures.
- Develop and provide training to domestic and international locations on technical accounting and reporting issues.
- Monitor new accounting standards, assess their impact on the organization and create working solutions
- Develop roadmap and prepare company for convergence with IFRS
Qualifications- BS degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent) required
- CPA required
- 4 years of relevant experience in the Big 4 public accounting firms or with large public companies including extensive SEC reporting and technical accounting experience.
- Experience with IFRS a strong plus
- Experience in international coordination a strong plus
- Self-motivated individual with the ability to meet project deliverables
- An ability to work well within a team structure and effect change cross functionally
- Exceptional writing, communication, interpersonal & presentation skills
- Excellent organizational, management, analytical, decision-making & research skills
