Position Summary:
HLA Lab. Department of Pathology
Performs HLA Typing of patients and potential donors by molecular based methods. Monitors patients for the presence of HLA antibodies in their sera and determine their specificities. Performs flow crossmatches. Performs quality control and troubleshooting. Teaches and trains students. Performs the full range of duties from specimen procurement through data analysis and reporting, in order to provide data for use in the detection, diagnosis and treatment of diseases in all areas of the lab. Responsible for reporting out test results accurately. Provide customer service to clients and providers.

The expected pay range for this recruitment is $51.82 - $69.72 (Hourly Rate). The Full Salary Range for the salary grade this position is assigned to is $51.82 - $75.46 (Hourly Rate).

Required:
  • One-year clinical laboratory experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in science
  • Clinical Laboratory Scientist, current CA CLS License.
  • Clinical Laboratory Scientist, current CA CLS License.
  • Clinical Laboratory Scientist, current CA CLS License.
  • Must be willing to carry the pager and be on-call.
  • Must be able to work variable shifts and overtime as required.
  • Knowledge of immunology and genetics of HLA system
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
  • Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.
  • Must be flexible with urgent requests
  • Must be willing to testify in court regarding testing activities if subpoenaed.
  • Must possess the computer skills: word and excel
  • Must possess the communication and customer service skills, both verbal and written

Special Conditions Required:
  • Carry the pager and be on-call.
