The intern will be engaged in the JPF program, aiming to reinforce the implementation of fortified rice initiatives by supporting PATH personnel in various capacities. This includes aiding in capacity building, monitoring efforts, and improving coordination with mainstream departments in the state. Moreover, the internship will offer technical assistance to enhance the coverage and sustainability of the AMB program specifically tailored for women associated with ASRLM.
Job Responsibilities:
Expanded Outreach: The intern will help in expanding reach by assisting in organizing community events, educational seminars, or outreach programs aimed at raising awareness about the benefits of fortified rice in preventing anemia.
Operational Support: The Intern will be involved in streamline operational tasks, enhancing the efficiency of PATH initiatives on the ground.
Hands-on Assistance: Field-level activities often require physical presence and engagement with communities. The intern will assist in arranging community meetings & training, distributing informational materials, etc.
Community Engagement: Building relationships with community leaders, healthcare professionals, and local organizations is crucial for the success of your initiatives. The intern will assist in networking efforts, scheduling meetings, and maintaining communication channels to foster collaboration and support from key stakeholders in one of the new JPF district.
Capacity Building: Plan, implement and monitor capacity building processes in the assigned geography.
Qualifications:
Graduation in Public Health/ Public Policy/ Nutrition/ Food Technology
Skills:
Handles Pressure
Ability of analysis and/or interpretation of data
Ability to review scientific evidence.
Ability executes program development activities.
Ability to conduct capacity building workshops.
Advocacy activities
Strategic and business planning activities
Overall, the intern will support the field-level activities to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of PATH efforts to popularize fortified rice for the prevention of anemia, ultimately leading to positive health outcomes for the communities.
