The M.E.P. Technical Consultant is part of the Quality and Performance team and will be providing professional consulting and support to various groups throughout the organization; defining root causes for trending and systemic kitchen equipment and building issues - primarily focusing on Building Systems that include HVAC units and control systems, kitchen hood ventilation, walk-in refrigeration, and electrical systems. You will also have common technical knowledge of Electrical Systems & Components, Mechanical & Exhaust Systems & Components and Plumbing Systems & Components. The Quality and Performance team is tasked with continuously monitoring, measuring, analyzing, and optimizing the performance of existing assets in order to discover defects, improve reliability, reduce costs, and increase customer satisfaction more quickly.

Location - Candidates must be located in/around a major airport in Texas as travel is required.

SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • You will successfully read and understand blueprints and specifications.
  • Effectively communicate with design professionals (internal and external), General contractors and suppliers.
  • Provide technical leadership and support to key internal stakeholders.
  • Effectively coach and encourage Operators on proper kitchen equipment operations and maintenance.
  • Provide support in leveraging manufacturers to define root causes with trending issues.

SKILLS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's or Associates degree (Business, Architecture, Construction or Technical Trade) or equivalent work experience
  • Experience with building codes (NFPA, NEC), ADA Compliance
  • Certification/Experience in MEP; MEP Subject Matter Expert, CEFESA Master Technician
  • Strong Commercial Kitchen Equipment knowledge
  • Strong Project Management and Communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PPT)
  • Ability to travel - 50%
