Key Job Responsibilities
The Communications Manager will be a member of the Communications Department and report to the VP of Communications.
This position is responsible for supporting the planning and execution of internal and external communications strategies that highlight the company's vision, brand and business strategy with customers while also driving employee engagement on company priorities and key initiatives. Campaigns, initiatives, news, and announcements are communicated and measured in an effective and timely manner using a variety of media channels.
Duties include:
*Supporting the creation and distribution of media announcements
*Creating content for, and updating, internal communication landing pages, employee newsletters and other employee-focused channels
*Formatting and distributing group email communications
*Supporting the production of quarterly town halls and other visual storytelling
*Project management for key initiatives, along with analysis of outcomes
*Managing and hosting weekly virtual Leadership Chats for employee engagement with company leaders
*Researching and writing stories about employees for recognition and appreciation
*Producing employee surveys and other forms of measuring employee feedback
*Generating reports on metrics related to communications initiatives
Minimum Qualifications
*Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, or a related field
*Three years of experience creating and managing communications that promote and foster employee engagement.
*Knowledge and understanding of communications practices, tools, and techniques in social media.
*Editorial experience; excellent written and verbal communications skills as a storyteller; and experience with digital communications metrics.
*Solid organizational, time, and task management; capacity to effectively handle multiple assignments simultaneously; ability to work independently and as part of a team; adept at managing multiple projects at once while delivering on deadlines; and precise attention to detail. Strong technical knowledge of and experience with Google Suite
*Proficiency with digital media tools, including video editing
*Graphic design capabilities are a plus.
